Representative Gowdy Releases Statement on NLRB Decision
WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, Representative Trey Gowdy (SC-04) released the following statement in response to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) decision to withdraw their complaint against Boeing.
“The NLRB's decision to drop the complaint against Boeing confirms my initial suspicion that the complaint was rooted in union pandering calculated to advance an activist agenda.
While the decision will be a welcome relief for the workers in South Carolina and Boeing generally my interest is in making sure the NLRB is either significantly reformed to its stated mission of fairness and balance or the NLRB's jurisdiction should be removed to another entity capable of objectivity and fairness.”
Rep. Gowdy sponsored H.R. 2926, the National Labor Relations Reorganization Act of 2011 and also co-sponsored H.R. 2587, the Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act, and H.R. 3094, the Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act.
