A congressional subcommittee studying the link between higher education and job creation has scheduled a field hearing at the International Center for Automotive Research in Greenville next month.
One of the reasons Washington has an abysmal public approval rating is the willingness, indeed the desire, to politicize everything. Imaginary crises are invented to score political points while real crises are ignored because the cost of solving the problem is adjudged too high from a political perspective. Exhibit A: the current debate over the debt ceiling.
